Aphorism (The Betrayal of Images V)
Kafka writes in the Aphorisms:
“From the true opponent, a limitless courage flows into you”.
But what
is it that
you seek to escape
in
this dim road?
All of this
additional time
will be taken
from you.
The ruins linger
in the same spot.
The machine of our
interactions
leaves behind
spare
parts &
crooked
teeth.
A self-portrait does not have to be complete to show the face: only viewers need to appear whole even though inside they might be full of holes.
Like Jude,
one continues to
wish oneself
out of the world &
one mistakes the city
for the person.
